The IFNG ifng (Catalog #MBS179305) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Interferon gamma Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Interferon gamma can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Western Blot (WB).WB: 1:500-1:2000
ICC/IF: 1:50-1:200
FC/FACS: 1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IFNG ifng for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IFNG ifng product has the following accession number(s) (GI #56786138) (NCBI Accession #NP_000610.2) (Uniprot Accession #P01579). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-Interferon gamma Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis of Interferon gamma expression in Jurkat cell lysate (MBS179305).
Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel) / 90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 50ug of sample under reducing conditions.
After Electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a Nitrocellulose membrane at 150mA for 50-90 minutes. Blocked the membrane with 5% Non-fat Milk/ TBS for 1.5 hour at RT. The membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-IFNG monoclonal antibody overnight at 4 degree C, then washed with TBS-0.1%Tween 3 times with 5 minutes each and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:10000 for 1.5 hour at RT. The signal is developed using an Enhanced Chemiluminescent detection (ECL) kit with Tanon 5200 system. A specific band was detected for IFNG )
Produced by lymphocytes activated by specific antigens or mitogens. IFN-gamma, in addition to having antiviral activity, has important immunoregulatory functions. It is a potent activator of macrophages, it has antiproliferative effects on transformed cells and it can potentiate the antiviral and antitumor effects of the type I interferons.
Immunogen: A synthesized peptide derived from human Interferon gamma
Subcellular Localization: Secreted.
Tissue Specificity: Released primarily from activated T lymphocytes. Contents: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IFNG are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IFNG may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
