The IgG2a n/a (Catalog #MBS666703) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s IgG2a can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IgG2a n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. To buy or view more detailed product information and pricing, please click on the technical datasheet page below:
Information: Immunoglobulin expressed by the mouse tumor line RPC 5 is an IgG2a isotype of unknown binding specificity and is used as a negative control when working with human cells.
Performance: Mouse IgG2a/R-PE was tested as a negative control in Flow cytometry at 5 ug/ml. All cells tested failed to stain or display a significant mean shift above a buffer background. Cells tested: Human PBL, CEM, HPB-MLT, Nalm-6, Jurkat, U937, Molt-4, Raji, Daudi and KG-1 (cells were pre blocked with human IgG to reduce nonspecific binding). Conjugation: PE
Production: Antibody was Protein A purified from (low FBS containing) tissue culture supernatant and was conjugated to R-Phycoerythrin through a sulfo-ester linkage. Unconjugated antibody was removed using size exclusion chromatography.
Buffer: 50 mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 500 mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl, 15% Glycerol, 0.3% BSA, 0.04% NaN3 (as a preservative). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IgG2a are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IgG2a may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
