The iNOS nos2 (Catalog #MBS303341) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Anti-Human Nitric Oxide Synthase-Inducible (iNOS) Monoclonal Antibody (Clone SP126) reacts with Human
Predicted Reactivity: Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Nitric Oxide Synthase-Inducible can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin.
Immunohistochemistry Procedure
Specimen Preparation: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues are suitable for use with this primary antibody. Deparaffinization: Deparaffinize slides using xylene or xylene alternative and graded alcohols. Antibody Dilution: If using the concentrate format of this product, dilute the antibody 1:100. The dilutions are estimates; actual results may differ because of variability in methods and protocols. Antigen Retrieval: Boil tissue section in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10 min followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min. Primary Antibody Incubation: Incubate for 10 minutes at room temperature. Slide Washing: Slides must be washed in between steps. Rinse slides with PBS/0.05% Tween. Visualization: Detect the antibody as instructed by the instructions provided with the visualization system.
Immunohistochemistry Dilution: 1:100
IHC Positive Control: Lung. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the iNOS nos2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The iNOS nos2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #24041029) (NCBI Accession #NP_000616.3). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Rabbit Anti-Human Nitric Oxide Synthase-Inducible (iNOS) Monoclonal Antibody (Clone SP126) with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Human lung stained with anti-iNOS antibody)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) iNOS.

Inducible NOS (iNOS) or macrophage NOS (mNOS) is calcium/calmodulin independent and is expressed in activated macrophages and stimulated glial cells. NOS oxidizes a guanidine nitrogen of arginine, releasing nitric oxide in the form of a free radical and citrulline. Nitric oxide thus generated acts as a messenger in diverse functions including vasodilation, neurotransmission, anti-tumor and anti-pathogenic activities.

Immunogen: Synthetic peptide near the C-terminus of mouse iNOS protein.
Control Tissue: Lung
Cellular Localization: Cytoplasm
Entrez Gene Code: 4843
Pathway: Synthesis and Degradation. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing iNOS are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as iNOS may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
