The KCND2 ikbkb (Catalog #MBS476879) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-KCND2 Mouse mAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s KCND2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KCND2 ikbkb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The KCND2 ikbkb product has the following accession number(s) (GI #958299654) (NCBI Accession #JAO50039.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Entrez Summary: Voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels represent the most complex class of voltage-gated ion channels from both functional and structural standpoints. Their diverse functions include regulating neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth muscle contraction, and cell volume. Four sequence-related potassium channel genes - shaker, shaw, shab, and shal - have been identified in Drosophila, and each has been shown to have human homolog (s). This gene encodes a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated, shal-related subfamily, members of which form voltage-activated A-type potassium ion channels and are prominent in the repolarization phase of the action potential. This member mediates a rapidly inactivating, A-type outward potassium current which is not under the control of the N terminus as it is in Shaker channels.
Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of IKBKB expressed in E Coli. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing KCND2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as KCND2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Atherosclerosis, Breast Neoplasms, Cell Transformation, Neoplastic, Disease Models, Animal, Inflammation, Insulin Resistance, Liver Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Experimental are some of the diseases may be linked to Anti-KCND2 Mouse mAb. KCND2 also interacts with the following gene(s): CHUK, IKBKG, MAP3K7, NFKB1, NFKBIA, NFKBIB, RELA, TNFRSF1A, TRAF2, UBC. Blood, Bone, Brain, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
