The KCNE4 n/a (Catalog #MBS6002534) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The KCNE4 (Potassium Voltage-gated Channel Subfamily E Member 4, MinK-related Peptide 3, Minimum Potassium Ion Channel-related Peptide 3, Potassium Channel Subunit beta MiRP3, MGC20353) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s KCNE4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KCNE4 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The KCNE4 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #21913154) (NCBI Accession #AAM77425.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful. The amino acid sequence is listed below:

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the KCNE4 (Potassium Voltage-gated Channel Subfamily E Member 4, MinK-related Peptide 3, Minimum Potassium Ion Channel-related Peptide 3, Potassium Channel Subunit beta MiRP3, MGC20353) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot detection against Immunogen (44.81kD).)
Testing Data (Detection limit for recombinant GST tagged KCNE4 is ~0.1ng/ml as a capture antibody.)
Voltage-gated potassium (Kv) channels represent the most complex class of voltage-gated ion channels from both functional and structural standpoints. Their diverse functions include regulating neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth muscle contraction, and cell volume. This gene encodes a member of the potassium channel, voltage-gated, isk-related subfamily. This member is a type I membrane protein, and a beta subunit that assembles with a potassium channel alpha-subunit to modulate the gating kinetics and enhance stability of the multimeric complex. This gene is prominently expressed in the embryo and in adult uterus.
Immunogen: Full length recombinant corresponding to aa1-171 from KCNE4 (AAH14429) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing KCNE4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as KCNE4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
