The LAMTOR5 lamtor5 (Catalog #MBS6000764) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The HBXIP (LAMTOR5, Ragulator Complex Protein LAMTOR5, Hepatitis B Virus X-interacting Protein, HBV X-interacting Protein, HBX-interacting Protein, Late Endosomal/Lysosomal Adaptor and MAPK and MTOR Activator 5, XIP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s HBXIP can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LAMTOR5 lamtor5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The LAMTOR5 lamtor5 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #49457256) (NCBI Accession #CAG46927.1) (Uniprot Accession #O43504). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful. The amino acid sequence is listed below:

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the HBXIP (LAMTOR5, Ragulator Complex Protein LAMTOR5, Hepatitis B Virus X-interacting Protein, HBV X-interacting Protein, HBX-interacting Protein, Late Endosomal/Lysosomal Adaptor and MAPK and MTOR Activator 5, XIP) with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot detection against Immunogen (36.12kD).)
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HBXIP expression in transfected 293T cell line by HBXIP monoclonal antibody.|Lane 1: HBXIP transfected lysate (10.12kD).|Lane 2: Non-transfected lysate.)
Testing Data (Detection limit for recombinant GST tagged HBXIP is 0.03ng/ml as a capture antibody.)
As part of the Ragulator complex it is involved in aa sensing and activation of mTORC1, a signaling complex promoting cell growth in response to growth factors, energy levels, and amino acids. Activated by aa through a mechanism involving the lysosomal V-ATPase, the Ragulator functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor activating the small GTPases Rag. Activated Ragulator and Rag GTPases function as a scaffold recruiting mTORC1 to lysosomes where it is in turn activated. When complexed to BIRC5, interferes with apoptosome assembly, preventing recruitment of pro-caspase-9 to oligomerized APAF1, thereby selectively suppressing apoptosis initiated via the mitochondrial/cytochrome c pathway. Down-regulates hepatitis B virus (HBV) replication.
Immunogen: Full-length recombinant protein corresponding to aa83-173 from HBXIP (AAH62619) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing LAMTOR5 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as LAMTOR5 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
