The LEF-1 lef1 (Catalog #MBS395334) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LEF-1 all isoforms reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s LEF-1 all isoforms can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LEF-1 lef1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The LEF-1 lef1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #195222732) (NCBI Accession #NP_001124185.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q9UJU2). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Lymphoid Enhancer Factor-1 (LEF-1) is an HMG 1/2-like DNA binding/bending protein and is a member of the LEF/TCF transcription factor family. There are four LEF/TCF family members in mammalian systems (LEF-1, TCF-1, TCF-3 and TCF-4), and orthologs to these factors have been identified in many different species. LEF/TCFs are downstream mediators of Wnt/Wingless signals. Wnt signaling drives cell polarity, cell fate and cell growth decisions in embryonic tissues and in post-natal tissues that continue to develop from mitotically active stem cell precursors. Misregulation of Wnt signaling is also implicated as a root cause of many different cancers, such as colon cancer, melanoma, breast cancer, prostate cancer and others. This antibody recognizes an epitope in amino acids 256-308 of LEF-1. This region is between the transactivation domain and the HMG binding domain of LEF-1 and is conserved in all LEF-1 isoforms.
Immunogen: Recombinant full length LEF-1 protein. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing LEF-1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as LEF-1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Bone Marrow, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Kidney, Lung, Mouth, Muscle, Skin tissues are correlated with this protein. LEF-1 also interacts with the following gene(s): CCND1, CTNNB1, HDAC1, MITF, MYB, NLK, PAX5, PITX2, SMAD4, TLE1. Brain Diseases, Breast Neoplasms, Colonic Neoplasms, Drug Toxicity, Fibrosis, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Necrosis, Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to LEF-1 all isoforms.
