The M6PR m6pr (Catalog #MBS5310700) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The M6PR antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s M6PR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the M6PR m6pr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The M6PR m6pr product has the following accession number(s) (GI #48146941) (NCBI Accession #CAG33693.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q6I9U3). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the M6PR antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (The cell lysates of Jurkat (40 ug), A549 (40 ug) and HeLa (40 ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to PVDF membrane and probed with M6PR antibody at 1:500.)
Testing Data M6PR.

Mannose 6 Phosphate Receptor (Cation dependent) transports phosphorylated lysosomal enzymes from the Golgi complex and the cell surface to lysosomes. Lysosomal enzymes bearing phosphomannosyl residues bind specifically to mannose-6-phosphate receptors in the Golgi apparatus and the resulting receptor-ligand complex is transported to an acidic prelyosomal compartment where the low pH mediates the dissociation of the complex.

Source Note: Purified from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human M6PR protein.
Immunogen: M6PR antibody was raised in mouse using recombinant human M6PR (27-185aa) purified from E Coli as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing M6PR are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as M6PR may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Adenocarcinoma, Brain Diseases, Carcinoma, Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Drug Toxicity, Hypertension, Liver Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases, Sarcoma, Skin Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to M6PR antibody. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Ovary, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
