Immunohistochemistry (Immunohistochemical staining using MAP2K4 antibody
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human thymoma tissue (left) and spleen tissue (right), showing cytoplasmic localization using MAP2K4 antibody with DAB staining.)
Mouse monoclonal MAP2K4 antibody.
Biological Significance: MAP2K4 is an a dual specificity protein kinase that belongs to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. This kinase is adirect activator of MAP kinases in response to various environmental stresses or mitogenic stimuli. It has been shownto activate MAPK8/JNK1, MAPK9/JNK2, and MAPK14/p38, but not MAPK1/ERK2 or MAPK3/ERK3. This kinase is phosphorylated, and thus activated by MAP3K1/MEKK. The knockout studies in mice suggested the roles of this kinase in mediating survival signal in T cell development, as well as in the organogenesis of liver. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: MAP2K4 antibody was raised in Mouse using a purified recombinant fragment of MAP2K4 expressed in E Coli as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MAP2K4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MAP2K4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Bone, Brain, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Nerve, Prostate, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. MAP2K4 also interacts with the following gene(s): CD40, MAP3K1, MAP3K4, MAP3K5, MAPK14, MAPK8. Brain Diseases, Breast Neoplasms, Cell Transformation, Neoplastic, Inflammation, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Experimental, Ovarian Neoplasms, Pancreatic Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to MAP2K4 antibody.
