The MATN3 matn3 (Catalog #MBS602661) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Matrilin-3 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Matrilin-3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Western Blot: This antibody can be used at 1-2ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human or mouse Matrilin-3. Using a colorimetric detection system, the detection limit for rhMatrilin-3 is approximately 1 ng/lane and 25 ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions, respectively. Chemiluminescent detection will increase sensitivity by 5 to 50 fold., Direct ELISA: This antibody can be used at 0.5-1.0ug/ml with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human or mouse Matrilin-3 The detection limit for rhMatrilin-3 is approximately 0.5 ng/well., Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MATN3 matn3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MATN3 matn3 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #11321565) (NCBI Accession #NP_002372.1) (Uniprot Accession #O15232). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Human Matrilin-3 is a secreted, 50-60kD member of the matrilin family of noncollagenous extracellular matrix proteins. It is 458 amino acids (aa) in length and consists of an N-terminal von Willebrand Factor-A domain (vWFA) (aa\'s #83-258), four EGF-like repeats (aa\'s #264-431), and a C-terminal 25 aa -helix/coiled-coil region. Matrilin-3 is cartilage specific and produced by chondrocytes. It forms both homotetramers and heterotetramers with matrilin-1. The vWFA domain in human matrilin-3 is 91%, 93%, 91%, and 93% aa identical to the vWFA domain in mouse, dog, rat and cow matrilin-3, respectively.
Immunogen: NS0-derived rhMatrilin-3. Hybridoma: Produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with purified, NS0-derived, recombinant human Matrilin-3 (rhMatrilin-3; aa 29-486: Accession #O15232). In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MATN3 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MATN3 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
