|The Mllt4 mllt4 (Catalog #MBS584288) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The L-Afadin, Rat, mAb 3 reacts with Reactivity: Rat. Cross reactivity: Canine, Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s L-Afadin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, F, Immunoassay (IA), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB).
Application Use: For Western blot and immunohistology dilutions to be used depend on detection system applied. It is recommended that users test the reagent and determine their own optimal dilutions. The typical starting working dilution is 1:50. Fixation with PFA or acetone/methanol is recommended. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Mllt4 mllt4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Mllt4 mllt4 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #2555011) (NCBI Accession #AAC53390.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Product Description: Afadin is an actin filament-binding protein that is involved in cell-cell adherens junctions (AJs) which directly interacts with the alpha herpus virus receptor, a member of the immunoglobulin supergene family. Afadin is colocalized with nectin at cadherin-based cell-cell adherence junctions in various tissues and cell lines. L-Afadin has been isolated as an F-actin-binding protein from rat brain. L-afadin is ubiquitously expressed and specifically localized at zonula adherens (ZA) in epithelial cells and at cell-cell adherens junctions (AJs) in non-epithelial cells. L-afadin has a splice variant, named small intestine absorptive afadin (s-afadin) which is abundantly expressed in neural tissue. Monoclonal antibody 3 has been raised against peptide 1814-1829 aa of rat l-afadin. Monoclonal antibody 3 cross reacts with human, mouse and dog l-afadin.
In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Mllt4 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Mllt4 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Mllt4 also interacts with the following gene(s): F11r, Pvrl1, Pvrl4, Ssx2ip, Tjp1. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Breast Neoplasms, Congenital Abnormalities, Disease Models, Animal, Edema, Fibrosis, Infertility, Male, Inflammation, Lung Neoplasms, Ovarian Diseases, Ovarian Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to L-Afadin, Rat, mAb 3.
