The MPZL2 mpzl2 (Catalog #MBS648840) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MPZL2 (Myelin Protein Zero-like Protein 2, Epithelial V-like Antigen 1, EVA, EVA1, UNQ606/PRO1192) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s MPZL2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA).Suitable for use in ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MPZL2 mpzl2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The MPZL2 mpzl2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #62751654) (NCBI Accession #NP_001015673.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q5EAB0). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful. The amino acid sequence is listed below:

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the MPZL2 (Myelin Protein Zero-like Protein 2, Epithelial V-like Antigen 1, EVA, EVA1, UNQ606/PRO1192) with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (Detection limit for MBS648840 is 1ng/ml as a capture antibody.)
Epithelial V-like antigen (EVA) is expressed in thymus epithelium and strongly downregulated by thymocyte developmental progression. EVA1 is expressed in the thymus and in several epithelial structures early in embryogenesis. It is highly homologous to the myelin protein zero and is poorly soluble in nonionic detergents, strongly suggesting an association to the cytoskeleton. Its capacity to mediate cell adhesion through a homophilic interaction and its selective regulation by T cell maturation might imply the participation of EVA in the earliest phases of thymus organogenesis. The protein bears a characteristic V-type domain and two potential N-glycosylation sites in the extracellular domain; a putative serine phosphorylation site for casein kinase 2 is also present in the cytoplasmic tail. EVA1 expression is elevated in some T-cell leukemias. There are two isoforms.
Immunogen: Partial recombinant corresponding to aa27-136 from MPZL2 (NP_005788) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MPZL2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MPZL2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
