This gene encodes a member of the membrane-spanning 4A gene family. Members of this nascent protein family are characterized by common structural features and similar intron/exon splice boundaries and display unique expression patterns among hematopoietic cells and nonlymphoid tissues. This gene encodes a B-lymphocyte surface molecule which plays a role in the development and differentiation of B-cells into plasma cells. This family member is localized to 11q12, among a cluster of family members. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants which encode the same protein.
Immunogen: MS4A1/CD20 Mab is generated from mouses immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the C-term region of human MS4A1/CD20. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Ms4a1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Ms4a1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Bone, Bone Marrow, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Kidney, Lymph Node, Mammary Gland, Ovary, Spleen, Thymus tissues are correlated with this protein. Carcinoma, Gastrointestinal Diseases, Hyperplasia, Immune System Diseases, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Skin Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to MS4A1, CD20, CT (MS4A1, CD20, B-lymphocyte antigen CD20, B-lymphocyte surface antigen B1, Bp35, Leukocyte surface antigen Leu-16, Membrane-spanning 4-domains subfamily A member 1, CD_antigen=CD20).
