The MSLN msln (Catalog #MBS600472) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti-Human Mesothelin reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Mesothelin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Other applications not tested.
Immunohistology (Formalin/paraffin): 1:5-1:10 for 60 min at RT. REQUIRES boiling tissue sections in 1mM EDTA, pH 8.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 mins. Other applications not tested.
Positive Control: Mesothelioma. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MSLN msln for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The MSLN msln product has the following accession number(s) (GI #293651530) (NCBI Accession #NP_001170826.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q13421). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Mesothelin is a glycocylphosphotidylianositol-linked cell-surface glycoprotein, that is present on the surface of normal mesothelium and is overexpressed in many patients with epithelial ovarian cancer and malignant mesotheliomas. May be useful immunohistochemically to distinguish mesotheliomas from other solid tumors.

MSLN msln

Immunogen: Recombinant protein corresponding to the membrane-bound form of the mesothelin molecule.
Cellular Localization: Cell membrane. Positive Control: Mesothelioma. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing MSLN are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as MSLN may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Ascites, Brain, Cervix, Intestine, Liver, Lung, Ovary, Pancreas, Prostate, Stomach tissues are correlated with this protein. Adenocarcinoma, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Liver Neoplasms, Lung Neoplasms, Mesothelioma, Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental, Neoplasms, Mesothelial, Ovarian Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to Mouse anti-Human Mesothelin.
