The Muscleblind-like protein 1 n/a (Catalog #MBS555672) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Muscleblind-like protein 1, monoclonal antibody, mouse reacts with Bovine, Chicken, Human, Mouse, Porcine, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Muscleblind-like protein 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Muscleblind-like protein 1 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. To buy or view more detailed product information and pricing, please click on the technical datasheet page below:
Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Muscleblind-like protein 1, monoclonal antibody, mouse with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (Image: HeLa cells were stained with monoclonal antibody Muscleblind-like protein at 1: 1,000. Muscleblind-like protein 1 is present in the nucleus of HeLa cells (red). Co-staining is with our rabbit polyclonal antibody against vimentin (in red) reveals cytoplasmic intermediate filaments. Blue is a DNA stain which largely colocalizes with the MBNL1 protein in the nucleus.)
Testing Data (Image: Western blot analysis. Blot of HL60 cell lysate was probed at dilution 1:1,000. The monoclonal binds Muscleblind-like protein 1 at ~40kDa, as expected.)
Muscleblind-like Protein (MBNL1) mediates pre-mRNA alternative splicing regulation. Acts either as activator or repressor of splicing on specific pre-mRNA targets. Inhibits cardiac troponin-T (TNNT2) pre-mRNA exon inclusion but induces insulin receptor (IR) pre-mRNA exon inclusion in muscle. Antagonizes the alternative splicing activity pattern of CELF proteins. Regulates the TNNT2 exon 5 skipping through competition with U2AF2. Inhibits the formation of the spliceosome A complex on intron 4 of TNNT2 pre-mRNA. Binds to the stem-loop structure within the polypyrimidine tract of TNNT2 intron 4 during spliceosome assembly. Binds to the 5-YGCU(U/G)Y-3consensus sequence. Binds to the IR RNA. Binds to expanded CUG repeat RNA, which folds into a hairpin structure containing GC base pairs and bulged, unpaired U residues.
Diseases associated with MBNL1 include myotonic dystrophy and myotonic dystrophy 1. Among its related pathways are Adipogenesis. GO annotations related to this gene include poly(A) RNA binding and double-stranded RNA binding.
In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Muscleblind-like protein 1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Muscleblind-like protein 1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
