The Keratin 10/13 n/a (Catalog #MBS460236) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse anti Keratin 10/13 Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Rat, Cat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Keratin 10/13 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB).ELISA: 0.01-0.1 ug/ml
Flow Cytometry: 5-10 ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry: 2-10 ug/ml
Immunoprecipitation: 2-5 ug/ml
Western Blot: 0.1-1 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Keratin 10/13 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Keratins are the intermediate filament (IF)-formating proteins of epithelial cells. The total number of mammalian keratins has increased to 54, including 28 type I and 26 type II keratins. Cytokeratin-10 (CK-10) is one member of the type I (acidic) subfamily of low molecular weight keratins. It expressed in all suprabasal layers of the epidermis. In the epidermis, expression of CK-10 strictly parallels the extent of differentiation; it is absent in the basal layer, appeared in the first suprabasal layers and increased in concentration towards the granular layer. Keratins are extensively used as tumor markers, as epithelial malignancies largely maintain the specific keratin patterns associated with their respective cells of origin. Expression of CK-10 is related to maturation of malignant keratinocytes, and it is detected in more-differentiated portion.
Preparation: Cytoskeletal preparation extracted from human ectocervical epithelium. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Keratin 10/13 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Keratin 10/13 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
