The NLN nln (Catalog #MBS832049) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s NLN can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB).FC: 1:100
IHC: 1:150
WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NLN nln for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The NLN nln product has the following accession number(s) (GI #14149738) (NCBI Accession #NP_065777) (Uniprot Accession #Q9BYT8). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the NLN antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Flow Cytometric analysis of HEK293T cells transfected with either recombinant NLN protein (red) or empty vector (blue) stained using NLN antibody)
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant NLN protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with NLN antibody)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of NLN protein in paraffin embedded Human Kidney tissue using NLN antibody)
Mouse monoclonal NLN antibody.
Biological Significance: NLN is a member of the metallopeptidase M3 protein family that cleaves neurotensin at the Pro10-Tyr11 bond, leading to the formation of neurotensin(1-10) and neurotensin(11-13). The encoded protein is likely involved in the termination of the neurotensinergic signal in the central nervous system and in the gastrointestin al tract. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: NLN antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human NLN (NP_065777) produced in HEK293T cells, as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NLN are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NLN may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Breast Neoplasms, Edema, Glucose Intolerance, Heart Defects, Congenital, Hypertension, Infertility, Female, Lung Diseases, Nephritis, Neurobehavioral Manifestations, Prostatic Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to NLN antibody. NLN also interacts with the following gene(s): BSN, NTS, NTSR1, SNN, UBC. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
