The Notch1 notch1 (Catalog #MBS802191) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Notch1 Antibody: ATTO 565 reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Notch1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC).
1:1000 (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Notch1 notch1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The Notch1 notch1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #224967065) (NCBI Accession #NP_032740.3) (Uniprot Accession #Q01705). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Background Info: Detects >270kDa, ~120kDa and small fragments due to proteolysis. Does not cross-react with Notch2 or Notch3.

Scientific Background: Notch is synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum as an inactive form which is proteolytically cleaved by a furin-like convertase (S1 cleavage) in the trans-golgi network before it reaches the plasma membrane to yield an active, ligand-accessible form. Cleavage results in a C-terminal fragment N(TM) and a N-terminal fragment N(EC). Following ligand binding, it is cleaved (S2 cleavage) by TNF-alpha converting enzyme (TACE) to yield a membrane-associated intermediate fragment called Notch extracellular truncation (NEXT). This fragment is then cleaved by presenilin-dependent gamma-secretase (S3 cleavage) to release the intracellular domain (NICD) from the membrane.

Notch1 notch1

Conjugate: ATTO 565. Storage Buffer: PBS pH7.4, 50% glycerol, 0.09% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Notch1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Notch1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Adenocarcinoma, Breast Neoplasms, Cell Transformation, Neoplastic, Congenital Abnormalities, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Lymphoma, Nervous System Diseases, Precursor T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia-Lymphoma are some of the diseases may be linked to Notch1 Antibody: ATTO 565. Blood, Bone, Bone Marrow, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Liver, Muscle, Skin, Thymus tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
