The NPC/NPC1 n/a (Catalog #MBS2401388) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-NPC/NPC1 Antibody (clone 4H2) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s NPC/NPC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB).IHC-P: 10 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the NPC/NPC1 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-NPC/NPC1 Antibody (clone 4H2) with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Human Kidney: Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE))
Immunohistochemistry (WB) (Human Brain, Cortex: Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE))
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of NPC1 expression in HeLa.)
ELISA (EIA) (Detection limit for recombinant GST tagged NPC1 is approximately 0.03 ng/ml as a capture antibody.)
Intracellular cholesterol transporter which acts in concert with NPC2 and plays an important role in the egress of cholesterol from the endosomal/lysosomal compartment. Both NPC1 and NPC2 function as the cellular \'tag team duo\' (TTD) to catalyze the mobilization ofcholesterol within the multivesicular environment of the late endosome(LE) to effect egress through the limiting bilayer of the LE.
Immunogen: NPC1 (AAH63302, aa151-250 partial recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa.
Conjugation: Unconjugated. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NPC/NPC1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NPC/NPC1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
