Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the NTF3 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of NTF3 protein in paraffin embedded Adenocarcinoma of Human breast tissue using NTF3 antibody)
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant NTF3 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with NTF3 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal NTF3 antibody.
Biological Significance: NTF3 is a member of the neurotrophin family, that controls survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. This protein is closely related to both nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. It may be involved in the maintenance of the adult nervous system, and may affect development of neurons in the embryo when it is expressed in human placenta. NTF3-deficient mice generated by gene targeting display severe movement defects of the limbs. The mature peptide of this protein is identical in all mammals examined including human, pig, rat and mouse. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: NTF3 antibody was raised in mouse using a recombinant protein expressed in E Coli corresponding to amino acids 139-257 of human NT3 as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing NTF3 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as NTF3 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
