The PARP16 n/a (Catalog #MBS833653) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PARP16 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PARP16 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS).
FC: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PARP16 n/a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The PARP16 n/a product has the following accession number(s) (GI #649141328) (NCBI Accession #AIC60248.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the PARP16 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Flow Cytometric analysis of HEK293T cells transfected with either recombinant PARP16 protein (red) or empty vector (blue) stained using PARP16 antibody)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) PARP16.

Mouse monoclonal PARP16 antibody.

Biological Significance: Poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation is an immediate DNA-damage-dependent post-translational modification of histones and other nuclear proteins that contributes to the survival of injured proliferating cells. PARP16 is a member of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerases (PARPs) family that is encoded by different genes and displaying a conserved catalytic domain in which PARP-1 (113 kDa), the founding member, and PARP-2 (62 kDa) are so far the sole enzymes whose catalytic activity has been shown to be immediately stimulated by DNA strand breaks. Immunogen: PARP16 antibody was raised in mouse using a protein expressed in 293T cell transfected with human PARP16 expression vector as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PARP16 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PARP16 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
