The PDSS2 pdss2 (Catalog #MBS833770) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s PDSS2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB).IF: 1:100
WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDSS2 pdss2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PDSS2 pdss2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #71051966) (NCBI Accession #AAH29491.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q86YH6). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the PDSS2 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected with recombinant PDSS2 protein using PDSS2 antibody)
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant PDSS2 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with PDSS2 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal PDSS2 antibody.
Biological Significance: The protein encoded by this gene is an enzyme that synthesizes the prenyl side-chain of coenzyme Q, or ubiquinone, one of the key elements in the respiratory chain. The gene product catalyzes the formation of all trans-polyprenyl pyrophosphates from isopentyl diphosphate in the assembly of polyisoprenoid side chains, the first step in coenzyme Q biosynthesis. Defects in this gene are a cause of coenzyme Q10 deficiency. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: PDSS2 antibody was raised in Mouse using full length human recombinant protein of human PDSS2 produced in HEK293T cell as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PDSS2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PDSS2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Brain, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Lymph, Lymph Node, Skin, Stomach tissues are correlated with this protein. Adenocarcinoma, Chromosome Breakage, Hyperglycemia, Kidney Diseases, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasm Metastasis, Neoplasms, Experimental, Nervous System Diseases, Proteinuria are some of the diseases may be linked to PDSS2 antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. PDSS2 also interacts with the following gene(s): ADCK3, COQ2, COQ9, PDSS1.
