The PGLYRP2 pglyrp2 (Catalog #MBS609787) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PGRP-L (N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine Amidase, Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein 2, Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein Long, PGLYRP2, PGLYRPL, PGRPL, UNQ3103/PRO10102) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PGRP-L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB).Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot.
Dilution: Western Blot: 1:2,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PGLYRP2 pglyrp2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PGLYRP2 pglyrp2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #219518193) (NCBI Accession #AAI44239.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q96PD5). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Peptidoglycan recognition proteins (PGRPs) are pattern recognition molecules that recognize bacteria and their unique cell wall component, peptidoglycan (PGN). Mammals have four PGRPs, designated in humans PGRP-S (24kD), PGRPL (60-65kD), PGRP-I alpha (38kD), and PGRPI beta (44kD). Human PGRPs are differentially expressed in various tissues and organs: PGRP-S mainly in the bone marrow and Polymorphonuclear leukocyte (PMNs), PGRP-L mainly in the liver, and PGRP-Ia and PGRP-Ib mainly in the esophagus. The function of only one mammalian PGRP, PGRP-S, is currently known. Mouse PGRP-S is present in neutrophils and inhibits growth of Gram-positive bacteria and, therefore, may function as a neutrophil antibacterial protein.
Immunogen: Peptidoglycan recognition protein (PGRP)-L purified from human protein. Positive Control: Human plasma. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PGLYRP2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PGLYRP2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Edema, Hyperplasia, Immune System Diseases, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to PGRP-L (N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine Amidase, Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein 2, Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein Long, PGLYRP2, PGLYRPL, PGRPL, UNQ3103/PRO10102). PGLYRP2 also interacts with the following gene(s): JUN, NOD2. Liver tissues are correlated with this protein.
