The PIGR  pigr (Catalog #MBS2543853) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti Human PIGR  Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PIGR  can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin.
IHC-P: 15-30 mug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PIGR  pigr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The PIGR  pigr product has the following accession number(s) (GI #31377806). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Polymeric immunoglobulin receptor, also known as PIGR, is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and a Fc receptor. The ectodomain of this receptor consists of five units with homology to the variable units of immunoglobulins and a transmembrane region, which also has some homology to certain immunoglobulin variable regions. PIGR is expressed on several glandular epithelia including those of liver and breast. The deduced amino-acid sequence has a length of 764 residues and shows an overall similarity of 56% and 64% with the rabbit and rat counterpart. PIGR mediates transcellular transport of polymeric immunoglobulin molecules, and thus facilitates the secretion of IgA and IgM. During this process, a cleavage occurs that separates the extracellular (known as the secretory component) from the transmembrane segment of PIGR.

Immunogen: Recombinant Human PIGR protein
Buffer: 0.2 mum filtered solution in PBS with 5% trehalose. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PIGR  are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PIGR  may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Eye, Intestine, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Mammary Gland, Muscle, Stomach, Uterus tissues are correlated with this protein. Carcinoma, Disease Models, Animal, Fibrosis, Glomerulonephritis, IGA, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Necrosis are some of the diseases may be linked to Rabbit anti Human PIGR  Monoclonal Antibody. PIGR  also interacts with the following gene(s): IL4, PIGA, RAB3B, STAT6, TLR4. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
