The PKC gamma prkcg (Catalog #MBS2549122) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PKC gamma Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PKC gamma can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), ELISA (EIA).WB: 1:2000-1:5000
IHC: 1:50-1:500
IF: 1:50-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PKC gamma prkcg for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The PKC gamma prkcg product has the following accession number(s) (GI #28839170) (NCBI Accession #BC047876) (Uniprot Accession #P05129). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of Various lysates using PKC gamma Monoclonal Antibody at dilution of 1:5000)
Protein kinase C (PKC) is a family of serine- and threonine-specific protein kinases that can be activated by calcium and second messenger diacylglycerol. PKC family members phosphorylate a wide variety of protein targets and are known to be involved in diverse cellular signaling pathways. PKC gamma is a neuron-specific member of the classical PKCs and is activated and translocated to subcellular regions as a result of various stimuli, including diacylglycerol synthesis, increased intracellular Ca(2+) and phorbol esters. Defects in this protein have been associated with spinocerebellar ataxia type 14 (SCA14), an autosomal dominant neurodegenerative disease.
Immunogen: Fusion protein of PKC gamma
Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, PH7.3
Conjugation: Unconjugated. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PKC gamma are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PKC gamma may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Eye, Kidney, Ovary, Stomach, Testis, Thymus tissues are correlated with this protein. Ataxia, Brain Diseases, Brain Ischemia, Cardiovascular Diseases, Eye Diseases, Hyperalgesia, Mental Disorders, Nervous System Diseases, Pain, Spinocerebellar Ataxias are some of the diseases may be linked to PKC gamma Monoclonal Antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
