The PPP1CB ppp1cb (Catalog #MBS476567) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-PPP1CB Mouse mAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s PPP1CB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PPP1CB ppp1cb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The PPP1CB ppp1cb product has the following accession number(s) (GI #49457562) (NCBI Accession #CAG47080.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Entrez Summary: The protein encoded by this gene is one of the three catalytic subunits of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1). PP1 is a serine/threonine specific protein phosphatase known to be involved in the regulation of a variety of cellular processes, such as cell division, glycogen metabolism, muscle contractility, protein synthesis, and HIV-1 viral transcription. Mouse studies suggest that PP1 functions as a suppressor of learning and memory. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of human PPP1CB (AA: 174-327) expressed in E Coli. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PPP1CB are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PPP1CB may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
