Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the PTPN7 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected with recombinant PTPN7 protein using PTPN7 antibody)
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant PTPN7 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with PTPN7 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal PTPN7 antibody.
Biological Significance: PTPN7 is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitoticcycle, and oncogenic transformation. This gene is preferentially expressed in a variety of hematopoietic cells, and is an early response gene in lymphokine stimulated cells. The non-catalytic N-terminus of this PTP can interact with MAP kinases and suppress the MAP kinase activities. This PTP was shown to be involved in the regulation of T cell antigenreceptor (TCR) signaling, which was thought to function through dephosphorylating the molecules related to MAP kinasepathway. Cross-Reactivity: Human, Dog, Rat, Mouse
Immunogen: PTPN7 antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human PTPN7 (NP_542155) produced in HEK293T cells, as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing PTPN7 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as PTPN7 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Lung tissues are correlated with this protein. Death, Inflammation, Leukemia, Necrosis, Weight Loss are some of the diseases may be linked to PTPN7 antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
