The RBL2 rbl2 (Catalog #MBS476602) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-RBL2 Mouse mAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s RBL2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the RBL2 rbl2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The RBL2 rbl2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #1021312105) (NCBI Accession #NP_001310539.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Western Blot (WB) (Western blot analysis using RBL2 mAb against HEK293 (1) and RBL2 (AA)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Flow cytometric analysis of Hela cells using RBL2 mouse mAb (green) and negative control (red).)
Entrez Summary: RBL2 is a Key regulator of entry into cell division. Directly involved in heterochromatin formation by maintaining overall chromatin structure and, in particular, that of constitutive heterochromatin by stabilizing histone methylation. Recruits and targets histone methyltransferases SUV420H1 and SUV420H2, leading to epigenetic transcriptional repression. Controls histone H4 \'Lys-20\' trimethylation. Probably acts as a transcription repressor by recruiting chromatin-modifying enzymes to promoters. Potent inhibitor of E2F-mediated trans-activation, associates preferentially with E2F5. Binds to cyclins An and E. Binds to and may be involved in the transforming capacity of the adenovirus E1A protein. May act as a tumor suppressor.
Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of human RBL2 (AA: 939-1139) expressed in E Coli. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing RBL2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as RBL2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Breast Neoplasms, Cell Transformation, Neoplastic, Disease Models, Animal, Hyperplasia, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasms, Experimental, Ovarian Neoplasms are some of the diseases may be linked to Anti-RBL2 Mouse mAb.
