The Slc17a6 slc17a6 (Catalog #MBS802659) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The VGLUT2 Antibody: PerCP reacts with Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s VGlut2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB).1:1000 (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Slc17a6 slc17a6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Slc17a6 slc17a6 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #16758166) (NCBI Accession #NP_445879.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q9JI12). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the VGLUT2 Antibody: PerCP with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of Rat brain membrane lysate showing detection of VGLUT2 protein using Mouse Anti-VGLUT2 Monoclonal Antibody, Clone S29-29. Primary Antibody: Mouse Anti-VGLUT2 Monoclonal Antibody at 1:000.)
Background Info: Detects ~60kDa.
Scientific Background: The ATP-dependent, chloride-sensitive vesicular glutamate transporters (VGLUT) include BNPI (VGLUT1), VGLUT2 (DNPI) and VGLUT3. The brain expresses BNPI (brain specific Na+-dependent inorganic phosphate (Pi) cotransporter) and VGLUT2 in a complementary fashion. The telencephalic regions express BNPI, whereas the lower brainstem and diencephalic regions express VLGUT2. Rat pinealocytes express both BNPI and VGLUT2. The striatum, hippocampus, cerebral cortex and raphe nuclei express VGLUT3 in a small number of neurons. Pancreatic alpha and beta cells express BNPI and VGLUT2 in response to glucose concentrations. Human VGLUT3 shares a 72% sequence homology with VLGUT2 and BNPI.
Conjugate: PerCP. Storage Buffer: PBS pH7.4, 50% glycerol, 0.09% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Slc17a6 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Slc17a6 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Slc17a6 also interacts with the following gene(s): Calb1, Calb2, Gad1, Slc32a1, Sst, Syp. Ataxia, Brain Diseases, Epilepsy, Hypotension, Inflammation, Movement Disorders, Nerve Degeneration, Nervous System Diseases, Pain, Seizures are some of the diseases may be linked to VGLUT2 Antibody: PerCP.
