The SNCA snca (Catalog #MBS533240) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s alpha Synuclein can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB).ELISA: 1:10,000
IHC: 1:200-1:1000
WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SNCA snca for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The SNCA snca product has the following accession number(s) (GI #49456267) (NCBI Accession #CAG46454.1) (Uniprot Accession #P37840). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the alpha Synuclein antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot showing SNCA antibody used against truncated SNCA recombinant protein.)
Mouse monoclonal alpha Synucleinantibody.
Biological Significance: SNCA belongs to the synuclein family, which also includes beta- and gamma-synuclein. SNCA is a soluble protein, expressed principally in the brain but also expressed in low concentrations in all tissues examined (except liver). SNCA is implicated in the regulation of dopamine release and transport. The triplication of the SNCA can cause Parkinson disease (PD) and diffuse Lewy body disease within the same kindred. SNCA peptides are a major component of amyloid plaques in the brains of patients with Alzheimer\'s disease. Immunohistochemistry for SNCA has become the histological technique of choice for the identification for Parkinson\'s disease, Dementia with Lewy bodies and Multiple System Atrophy. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: alpha Synuclein antibody was raised in Mouse using a purified recombinant fragment of SNCA expressed in E Coli as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SNCA are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SNCA may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. SNCA also interacts with the following gene(s): APP, FYN, MAPT, PARK2, PARK7, SLC6A3, SNCAIP, UBC. Brain Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Lewy Body Disease, Movement Disorders, Nerve Degeneration, Nervous System Diseases, Neurodegenerative Diseases, PARKINSON DISEASE 1, AUTOSOMAL DOMINANT, Parkinson Disease, Parkinsonian Disorders are some of the diseases may be linked to alpha Synuclein antibody.
