The Sox2 sox2 (Catalog #MBS851014) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Sox2 Antibody reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Sox2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB).ELISA: 1:5000-1:20000
WB: 1:100-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Sox2 sox2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Sox2 sox2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #127140986) (NCBI Accession #NP_035573.3) (Uniprot Accession #P48432). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Testing Data (Sox2 antibody at 1/2000 dilution interacts with recombinant Sox2 protein with a His tag. Predicted band size: 40KDa. Observed band size: 40KDa.)
This intronless gene encodes a member of the SRY-related HMG-box (SOX) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of cell fate. The product of this gene is required for stem-cell maintenance in the central nervous system, and also regulates gene expression in the stomach. Mutations in this gene have been associated with optic nerve hypoplasia and with syndromic microphthalmia, a severe form of structural eye malformation.
Immunogen: Recombinant full length protein of mouse Sox2.
Preservative: 0.02% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, PBS, pH7.4.
Cellular Localization: Nucleus. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing Sox2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as Sox2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain, Dorsal Root Ganglion, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Inner Ear, Salivary Gland, Spinal Cord, Tongue tissues are correlated with this protein. Adenocarcinoma, Breast Neoplasms, Carcinoma, Squamous Cell, Cell Transformation, Neoplastic, Lung Diseases, Lung Neoplasms, Neoplasm Metastasis, Neoplasms, Experimental, Skin Diseases, Small Cell Lung Carcinoma are some of the diseases may be linked to Sox2 Antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
