The SSX5 ssx5 (Catalog #MBS833784) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s SSX5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB).WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SSX5 ssx5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The SSX5 ssx5 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #2952025) (NCBI Accession #AAC05821.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the SSX5 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant SSX5 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with SSX5 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal SSX5 antibody.
Biological Significance: The product of this gene belongs to the family of highly homologous synovial sarcoma X (SSX) breakpoint proteins. These proteins may function as transcriptional repressors. They are also capable of eliciting spontaneously humoral and cellular immune responses in cancer patients, and are potentially useful targets in cancer vaccine-based immunotherapy. SSX1, SSX2 and SSX4 genes have been involved in the t(X;18) translocation characteristically found in all synovial sarcomas. This gene appears not to be involved in this type of chromosome translocation. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: SSX5 antibody was raised in Mouse using full length human recombinant protein of human SSX5 produced in HEK293T cell as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SSX5 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SSX5 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
