|The STI1/STIP1 stip1 (Catalog #MBS2400643) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-STI1/STIP1 Antibody (clone 2E11) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s STI1/STIP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB).
IHC-P: 0.75-5 ug/ml
WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the STI1/STIP1 stip1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The STI1/STIP1 stip1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #5803181) (NCBI Accession #NP_006810.1) (Uniprot Accession #P31948). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-STI1/STIP1 Antibody (clone 2E11) with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Anti-STIP1 antibody IHC of human small intestine. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody concentration 0.75 ug/ml.)
Immunohistochemistry (WB) (Anti-STIP1 antibody IHC of human spleen. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody concentration 0.75 ug/ml.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (FACS analysis of A-431 cells stained with STIP1 monoclonal antibody clone 2E11 (Green) and non-stained A-431 cells (Black) as negative control.)
ELISA (EIA) (Detection limit for recombinant GST tagged STIP1 is 0.1 ng/ml as a capture antibody.)
STIP1 is an adaptor protein that coordinates the functions of HSP70 (seeHSPA1A; MIM 140550) and HSP90 (see HSP90AA1; MIM 140571) in protein folding. It is thought to assist in the transfer of proteins from HSP70to HSP90 by binding both HSP90 and substrate-bound HSP70. STIP1 alsostimulates the ATPase activity of HSP70 and inhibits the ATPase activityof HSP90, suggesting that it regulates both the conformations and ATPase cycles of these chaperones (Song and Masison, 2005 [PubMed16100115]).
Immunogen: STIP1 (AAH02987, 1 a.a. ~ 544 a.a) full-length recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa.
Conjugation: Unconjugated. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing STI1/STIP1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as STI1/STIP1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
