The TERT il6 (Catalog #MBS476940) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-TERT Mouse mAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TERT can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TERT il6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The TERT il6 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #958316429) (NCBI Accession #JAO54112.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Entrez Summary: Telomerase is a ribonucleoprotein polymerase that maintains telomere ends by addition of the telomere repeat TTAGGG. The enzyme consists of a protein component with reverse transcriptase activity, encoded by this gene, and an RNA component which serves as a template for the telomere repeat. Telomerase expression plays a role in cellular senescence, as it is normally repressed in postnatal somatic cells resulting in progressive shortening of telomeres. Deregulation of telomerase expression in somatic cells may be involved in oncogenesis. Studies in mouse suggest that telomerase also participates in chromosomal repair, since de novo synthesis of telomere repeats may occur at double-stranded breaks. Alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms of telomerase reverse transcriptase have been identified; the full-length sequence of some variants has not been determined. Alternative splicing at this locus is thought to be one mechanism of regulation of telomerase activity.

TERT il6

Immunogen: Purified recombinant fragment of human IL-6 expressed in E Coli. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TERT are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TERT may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Intestine, Kidney, Lung, Muscle, Skin, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. TERT also interacts with the following gene(s): CEBPB, FOS, IL6R, IL6ST, JUN, NFKB1, OSM, SOCS3, STAT1, STAT3. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Arthritis, Rheumatoid, Atherosclerosis, Autoimmune Diseases, Breast Neoplasms, Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2, Hypertension, Inflammation, Myocardial Ischemia, Necrosis, Skin Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Anti-TERT Mouse mAb.
