The TF tf (Catalog #MBS2548965) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Transferrin Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Transferrin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, ELISA (EIA).IHC: 1:100-200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TF tf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TF tf product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4557871) (NCBI Accession #NP_001054.1) (Uniprot Accession #P02787). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

This gene encodes a glycoprotein with an approximate molecular weight of 76.5 kDa. It is thought to have been created as a result of an ancient gene duplication event that led to generation of homologous C and N-terminal domains each of which binds one ion of ferric iron. The function of this protein is to transport iron from the intestine, reticuloendothelial system, and liver parenchymal cells to all proliferating cells in the body. This protein may also have a physiologic role as granulocyte/pollen-binding protein (GPBP) involved in the removal of certain organic matter and allergens from serum.

Buffer: PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 0.5% BSA and 50% glycerol pH 7.4. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TF are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TF may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Brain Diseases, Carcinoma, Cardiovascular Diseases, Drug Toxicity, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Transferrin Monoclonal Antibody. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. TF also interacts with the following gene(s): CUBN, IGFBP1, IGFBP3, IGFBP4, TFR2, TFRC, TUBB3. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Nerve, Skin tissues are correlated with this protein.
