|The TMOD1 tmod1 (Catalog #MBS833196) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TMOD1 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TMOD1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB).
WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TMOD1 tmod1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TMOD1 tmod1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4507553) (NCBI Accession #NP_003266) (Uniprot Accession #P28289). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the TMOD1 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant TMOD1 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with TMOD1 antibody)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected with recombinant TMOD1 protein using TMOD1 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal TMOD1 antibody.
Biological Significance: TMOD1 a member of the tropomodulin family. The encoded protein is an actin-capping protein that regulates tropomyosin by binding to its N-terminus, inhibiting depolymerization and elongation of the pointed end of actin filaments and thereby influencing the structure of the erythrocyte membrane skeleton. Immunogen: TMOD1 antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human TMOD1 (NP_003266) produced in HEK293 cell as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TMOD1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TMOD1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Breast Neoplasms, Cardiovascular Diseases, Congenital Abnormalities, Disease Models, Animal, Fetal Death, Heart Diseases, Hypertrophy, Learning Disorders, Memory Disorders, Weight Loss are some of the diseases may be linked to TMOD1 antibody. TMOD1 also interacts with the following gene(s): TNNT2, TPM1, TPM3, TTN. Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Ganglia, Heart, Intestine, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle tissues are correlated with this protein.
