The TNF-alpha tnf (Catalog #MBS2534301) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Human TNF-alpha Antibody (PE conjugated) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis (The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used <= 0.5 ug /106 cells in 100 ul). Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TNF-alpha tnf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The TNF-alpha tnf product has the following accession number(s) (GI #37210) (NCBI Accession #CAA26669.1) (Uniprot Accession #P01375). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-Human TNF-alpha Antibody (PE conjugated) with the following immunoassay(s):
Testing Data (PMA/Ionomycin-stimulated human PBMCs were stained with PE/CY5 anti-human CD3 and PE anti-human TNF-alpha)
Testing Data TNF-alpha.

TNF-alpha is secreted by macrophages, monocytes, neutrophils, T-cells (principally CD4+), and NK-cells. Many transformed cell lines also secrete TNF-alpha. Monomeric human TNF-alpha is a 157 amino acid protein (non-glycosylated) with a reported molecular weight of 17 kD. TNF-alpha forms multimeric complexes; stable trimers are most common in solution. A 26 kD membrane form of TNF-alpha has also been described. TNF-alpha binding to surface receptors elicits a wide array of biologic activities including: cytolysis and cytostasis of many tumor cell lines in vitro, hemorraghic necrosis of tumors in vivo, increased fibroblast proliferation, and enhanced chemotaxis and phagocytosis in neutrophils.

Conjugation: PE. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TNF-alpha are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TNF-alpha may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Brain, Connective Tissue, Heart, Intestine, Lung, Lymph Node, Ovary, Placenta, Prostate tissues are correlated with this protein. Atherosclerosis, Colitis, Fibrosis, Inflammation, Insulin Resistance, Liver Diseases, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Pain, Reperfusion Injury are some of the diseases may be linked to Anti-Human TNF-alpha Antibody (PE conjugated). TNF-alpha also interacts with the following gene(s): CD83, FOXP3, ICAM1, IFNG, IKBKG, ITGAM, MMP9, MYC, RELB, TNFRSF1A.
