Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the TOMM34 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant TOMM34 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with TOMM34 antibody)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected with recombinant TOMM34 protein using TOMM34 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal TOMM34 antibody.
Biological Significance: TOMM34 is involved in the import of precursor proteins into mitochondria. The encoded protein has a chaperone-like activity, binding the mature portion of unfolded proteins and aiding their import into mitochondria. This protein, which is found in the cytoplasm and sometimes associated with the outer mitochondrial membrane, has a weak ATPase activity and contains 6 TPR repeats. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: TOMM34 antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human TOMM34 (NP_006800) produced in HEK293T cells, as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TOMM34 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TOMM34 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Heart, Liver, Lung, Lymph, Muscle, Skin, Testis, Thyroid, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. TOMM34 also interacts with the following gene(s): HSP90AA1, HSP90AB1. Cardiovascular Diseases, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to TOMM34 antibody.
