The TSC2 tsc2 (Catalog #MBS9200341) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TSC2 Antibody reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s TSC2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunofluorescence (IF).IF~~1:10~50
WB~~1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TSC2 tsc2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The TSC2 tsc2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #116256352) (NCBI Accession #NP_000539.2) (Uniprot Accession #P49815). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the TSC2 Antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Fluorescent image of Hela cell stained with TSC2 Antibody. Hela cells were fixed with 4% PFA (20 min), permeabilized with Triton X-100 (0.1%, 10 min), then incubated with TSC2 primary antibody (1:25, 1 h at 37 degree). For secondary antibody, Alexa Fluor 488 conjugated donkey anti-mouse antibody (green) was used (1:400, 50 min at 37 degree).Cytoplasmic actin was counterstained with Alexa Fluor 555 (red) conjugated Phalloidin (7units/ml, 1 h at 37 degree). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue) (10 ug/ml, 10 min).TSC2 immunoreactivity is localized to Microtubules significantly.)
Western Blot (WB) (TSC2 Antibody western blot analysis in mouse NIH-3T3 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the TSC2 antibody detected the TSC2 protein (arrow).)
Mutations in this gene lead to tuberous sclerosis complex.
Its gene product is believed to be a tumor suppressor and is able
to stimulate specific GTPases. The protein associates with hamartin
in a cytosolic complex, possibly acting as a chaperone for
hamartin. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript
variants encoding different isoforms.
Antigen Type: Recombinant Protein. Antigen Source: HUMAN. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing TSC2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as TSC2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. TSC2 also interacts with the following gene(s): AKT1, MTOR, PRKAA1, RHEB, RPS6KA1, TSC1, UBC, YWHAB. Brain Diseases, Epilepsy, Kidney Diseases, Kidney Neoplasms, Lung Neoplasms, Lymphangioleiomyomatosis, Neoplasms, Experimental, Seizures, Tuberous Sclerosis, Tuberous Sclerosis 2 are some of the diseases may be linked to TSC2 Antibody.
