The UBB ubb (Catalog #MBS803250) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Ubiquitin Antibody: ATTO 488 reacts with Wide range of species and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Ubiquitin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB).1:1000-10000 (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the UBB ubb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The UBB ubb product has the following accession number(s) (GI #28316344) (NCBI Accession #BAC56955.1) (Uniprot Accession #P0CG47). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Background Info: Detects ubiquitinated proteins and ubiquitin chains. Does not detect free ubiquitin.
Scientific Background: Ubiquitin is a small protein found ubiquitously in all tissue types and acts as a post translational modification. It can bind to its substrate either as a single ubiquitin molecule or in a chain. It is involved in many regulatory processes, which include proteasomal degradation, signal transduction, DNA repair, endocytosis and autophagy.
Conjugate: ATTO 488. Storage Buffer: 10mM phosphate buffer with 0.15M NaCl, pH7.4, 0.1% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing UBB are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as UBB may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Blood, Brain, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Nerve, Thyroid, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Atrophy, Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Hyperplasia, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Movement Disorders, Necrosis, Nerve Degeneration, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Ubiquitin Antibody: ATTO 488.
