The VEGFR-2/KDR kdr (Catalog #MBS690694) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Anti-Human VEGFR-2/KDR reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s VEGFR-2/KDR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC).Western Blot: Use at 2-5 ug/ml ELISA: Use at 1-10 ug/ml FACS Use at 2-10 ug/ml IF/IHC Use at 6-30 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the VEGFR-2/KDR kdr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The VEGFR-2/KDR kdr product has the following accession number(s) (GI #11321597) (NCBI Accession #NP_002241.1) (Uniprot Accession #P35968). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

VEGF R1 (Flt-1), VEGF R2 (KDR/Flk-1), and VEGF R3 (Flt-4) belong to the class III subfamily of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). All three receptors contain seven immunoglobulin-like repeats in their extracellular domain and kinase insert domains in their intracellular region. They are best known for regulating VEGF family-mediated vasculogenesis, angiogenesis, and lymphangiogenesis. They are also mediators of neurotrophic activity and regulators of hematopoietic development. Human VEGF R2 is thought to be the primary inducer of VEGF-mediated blood vessel growth, while VEGF R3 plays a significant role in VEGF-C and VEGF-D-mediated lymphangiogenesis.
Immunogen: recombinant human soluble KDR (D7) (RT# S01-001)
Conjugation: Biotin
Preparation: Monoclonal antibodies were produced with the help of BALB/c mice using recombinant human soluble extracellular KDR (D7) as the immunizing antigen. Buffer/Stabilizer: PBS; 50X BSA
Preservative: 0,02% sodium azide. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing VEGFR-2/KDR are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as VEGFR-2/KDR may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. VEGFR-2/KDR also interacts with the following gene(s): CDH5, FIGF, FLT4, NRP1, PTPN6, SHC1, SRC, VEGFA, VEGFC.
