The Ku70 xrcc6 (Catalog #MBS475152) is an Antibody produced from MouseSource: Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Ku70 Mouse mAb reacts with Human, Monkey and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Ku70 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP).
WB: 1:1000
ICC: 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ku70 xrcc6 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The Ku70 xrcc6 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #573014815) (NCBI Accession #NP_001275905.1) (Uniprot Accession #P12956). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Anti-Ku70 Mouse mAb with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western blot detection of Ku70 in Hela, A549, COS7 and K562 cell lysates using Ku70 mouse mAb (1:1000 diluted).Predicted band size:70KDa.Observed band size:67KDa.)
Immunocytochemistry (ICC) (Immunocytochemistry staining of HeLa cells fixed with -20 degree C Methanol and using anti-Ku70 antibody (dilution 1:200).)
Immunoprecipitation (IP) (Immunoprecipitation analysis of Hela cell lysates using Ku70 mouse mAb.)
Entrez Summary: The p70/p80 autoantigen is a nuclear complex consisting of two subunits with molecular masses of approximately 70 and 80 kDa. The complex functions as a single-stranded DNA-dependent ATP-dependent helicase. The complex may be involved in the repair of nonhomologous DNA ends such as that required for double-strand break repair, transposition, and V (D)J recombination. High levels of autoantibodies to p70 and p80 have been found in some patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].
Immunogen: Purified recombinant human Ku70 protein fragments expressed in E Coli.
Sensitivity: This antibody detects endogenous levels of Ku70 and does not cross-react with related proteins.
Sequence Similarities: Belongs to the ku70 family.Contains 1 Ku domain.Contains 1 SAP domain. Subunit Structure: Heterodimer of a 70 kDa (XRCC6) and a 80 kDa (XRCC5) subunit. The dimer associates in a DNA-dependent manner with PRKDC to form the DNA-dependent protein kinase complex DNA-PK, and with the LIG4-XRCC4 complex. The dimer also associates with NAA15, and this complex binds to the osteocalcin promoter and activates osteocalcin expression. In addition, XRCC6 interacts with the osteoblast-specific transcription factors MSX2, RUNX2 and DLX5. Interacts with ELF3. Interacts with XRCC6BP1. The XRCC5/6 dimer associates in a DNA-dependent manner with APEX1. Interacts with CLU by similarity. Binds to CDK9 isoform 2. Identified in a complex with DEAF1 and XRCC5. Interacts with DEAF1 (via the SAND domain); the interaction is direct and may be inhibited by DNA-binding.
Subcellular Location: Nucleus. Chromosome.
