The ZIM2 zim2 (Catalog #MBS834811) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. MyBioSource\'s ZIM2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Western Blot (WB).FC: 1:100
WB: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ZIM2 zim2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ZIM2 zim2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #33354273) (NCBI Accession #NP_056178) (Uniprot Accession #Q9NZV7). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the ZIM2 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS) (Flow Cytometric analysis of Jurkat cells using ZIM2 antibody (Red), compared to a nonspecific negative control antibody (Blue).)
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant ZIM2 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with ZIM2 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal ZIM2 antibody.
Biological Significance: In humans, ZIM2 and PEG3 (GeneID:5178) are two distinct genes that share a set of 5\' exons and have a common promoter, and both genes are paternally expressed. Alternative splicing events connect the shared exons either with the remaining 4 exons unique to ZIM2, or with the remaining 2 exons unique to PEG3. This is in contrast to mouse and cow, where ZIM2 and PEG3 genes do not share exons in common, and the imprinting status of ZIM2 is also not conserved amongst mammals. Cross-Reactivity: Human
Immunogen: ZIM2 antibody was raised in mouse using a human recombinant protein fragment corresponding to amino acids 1-150 and 428-527 of human ZIM2 (NP_056178) produced in E Coli as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ZIM2 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ZIM2 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results. Adrenal Gland, Brain, Kidney, Muscle, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. ZIM2 also interacts with the following gene(s): EPN1, KCNJ14, RPL28.
