The CD40 cd40 (Catalog #MBS4380521) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CD40/TNFRSF5/CD40L-Receptor reacts with Human. Others not known. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s CD40/TNFRSF5/CD40L-Receptor can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin.IHC-F: 1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT; Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM Citrate Buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD40 cd40 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The CD40 cd40 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4507581) (NCBI Accession #NP_001241.1) (Uniprot Accession #P25942). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the CD40/TNFRSF5/CD40L-Receptor with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human Tonsil Stained with CD40 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (C40/2383).)
SDS-Page (SDS-PAGE Analysis Purified CD40 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody (C40/2383).Confirmation of Integrity and Purity of Antibody.)
Testing Data (Analysis of Protein Array containing more than 19, 000 full-length human proteins using CD40 Mouse Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody (C40/2383) Z- and S- Score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that a monoclonal antibody (MAb) (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary antibody) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProtTM array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD\'s) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If targets on HuProtTM are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD\'s) between the Z-score. S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of a MAb to its intended target. A MAb is considered to specific to its intended target, if the MAb has an S-score of at least 2.5. For example, if a MAb binds to protein X with a Z-score of 43 and to protein Y with a Z-score of 14, then the S-score for the binding of that MAb to protein X is equal to 29.)
Immunogen: Recombinant fragment of human CD40 protein (around aa 29-107)
Cellular Localization: Cell Surface and Secreted. Hu-chromosome Location: 20q12-q13.2
Positive Control: L-428 Cells. Tonsil, Spleen or Thymus. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing CD40 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as CD40 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
