anti-ANKRD53 antibody product blogThe ANKRD53 ankrd53 (Catalog #MBS830731) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ANKRD53 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s ANKRD53 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB).
WB: 1:500-2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ANKRD53 ankrd53 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The ANKRD53 ankrd53 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #169403957) (NCBI Accession #NP_079209) (Uniprot Accession #Q8N9V6). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the ANKRD53 antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant ANKRD53 protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with ANKRD53 antibody)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of ANKRD53 protein in paraffin embedded Human lymphoma tissue using ANKRD53 antibody)
Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescent staining of COS7 cells transiently transfected with recombinant ANKRD53 protein using ANKRD53 antibody)
Mouse monoclonal ANKRD53 antibody.
Biological Significance: Ankyrins are a family of adaptor proteins that mediate the attachment of integral membrane proteins to the spectrin-actin based membrane skeleton. Ankyrins have binding sites for the beta subunit of spectrin and at least 12 families of integral membrane proteins. This linkage is required to maintain the integrity of the plasma membranes and to anchor specific ion channels, ion exchangers and ion transporters in the plasma membrane. Immunogen: ANKRD53 antibody was raised in mouse using a human recombinant protein fragment corresponding to amino acids 1-300 of human ANKRD53 (NP_079209) produced in E Coli as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing ANKRD53 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as ANKRD53 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
