anti-IVL antibody product blogThe IVL ivl (Catalog #MBS175045) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Involucrin antibody (monoclonal) reacts with Human, Pig and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s Involucrin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin, Immunocytochemistry ICC. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IVL ivl for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
The IVL ivl product has the following accession number(s) (GI #254763301) (NCBI Accession #P07476.2) (Uniprot Accession #P07476). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Anti- -Involucrin antibody, MBS175045, IHC(P)
IHC(P): Human Lung Cancer Tissue )
Description: Mouse IgG monoclonal antibody for Involucrin, involucrin (IVL) detection. Tested with WB, IHC-P, IHC-F, ICC in Human, dog, pig. No cross reactivity with other proteins. Uniprot ID: P07476
Background: Involucrin is a keratinocyte protein that first appears in the cell cytosol, but ultimately becomes cross-linked to membrane proteins by transglutaminase. The gene consists of 585 amino acids, 390 of which form a central decapeptide repeat, rich in glutamine and glutamic acid. The involucrin gene, encoding a protein of the terminally differentiated keratinocyte, is polymorphic in the human. Involucrin has previously been mapped to chromosome 1q21. The epidermal protein involucrin has been remodeled in the higher primates. And the existence of two populations of East Asian involucrin alleles gives support for the existence of an Eurasian stem lineage from which Caucasians and a part of the Asian population originated.
Immunogen: Human involucrin. Contents: Mouse ascites fluid, 1.2% sodium acetate, 2mg BSA, with 0.01mg NaN3 as preservative.
Reconstitution: 1.2% sodium acetate or neutral PBS. If 1ml of PBS is used, the antibody concentration will be 100ug/ml. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing IVL are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as IVL may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
