The SSB ssb (Catalog #MBS834869) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The SSB antibody reacts with Human, Dog and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s SSB can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB).
IHC: 1:50
WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SSB ssb for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The SSB ssb product has the following accession number(s) (GI #46401640) (NCBI Accession #YP_006485.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the SSB antibody with the following immunoassay(s):
Western Blot (WB) (Western Blot analysis of HEK293T cell lysates (5 ug) transfected with either recombinant SSB protein (Right) or empty vector (Left) detected with SSB antibody)
Western Blot (WB) SSB.

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Immunohistochemical analysis of SSB protein in paraffin embedded Human lung tissue using SSB antibody)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) SSB.

Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescent staining of endogenous SSB protein in HT29 cells using SSB antibody)
Immunofluorescence (IF) SSB.

Mouse monoclonal SSB antibody.

Biological Significance: SSB is involved in diverse aspects of RNA metabolism, including binding and protecting 3-prime UUU(OH) elements of newly RNA polymerase III-transcribed RNA, processing 5-prime and 3-prime ends of pre-tRNA precursors, acting as an RNA chaperone, and binding viral RNAs associated with hepatitis C virus. SSB protein was origin ally defined by its reactivity with autoantibodies from patients with Sjogren syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus. Immunogen: SSB antibody was raised in mouse using a protein expressed in 293T cell transfected with human SSB expression vector as the immunogen. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing SSB are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as SSB may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
