The YY1 yy1 (Catalog #MBS246160) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Monoclonal [clone 2C4] (IgG1,k) to Human YY1 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. MyBioSource\'s YY1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA).
ELISA, IF (10 ug/ml), IHC-P (5 ug/ml), WB
Usage: Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections. Sandwich ELISA: Recombinant protein. Western Blot using transfected cell lysates, cell line lysates and the recombinant protein used as the immunogen. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the YY1 yy1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.

The YY1 yy1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4507955) (NCBI Accession #NP_003394.1) (Uniprot Accession #P25490). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given antibody. We\'ve tested the Mouse Monoclonal [clone 2C4] (IgG1,k) to Human YY1 with the following immunoassay(s):
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) (Anti-YY1 antibody IHC of human testis. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody concentration 5 ug/ml.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) YY1.

Immunofluorescence (IF) (Immunofluorescence of monoclonal antibody to YY1 on HeLa cell. [antibody concentration 10 ug/ml])
Immunofluorescence (IF) YY1.

Western Blot (WB) (YY1 monoclonal antibody clone 2C4 Western blot of YY1 expression in HeLa NE.)
Western Blot (WB) YY1.

ELISA (EIA) (Detection limit for recombinant GST tagged YY1 is approximately 0.03 ng/ml as a capture antibody.)
ELISA (EIA) YY1.

YY1 is an ubiquitously distributed transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins. The protein is involved in repressing and activating a diverse number of promoters. YY1 may direct histone deacetylases and histone acetyltransferases to a promoter in order to activate or repress the promoter, thus implicating histone modification in the function of YY1.

Target Species: Human
Immunogen Description: YY1 (NP_003394, 221 a.a. ~ 321 a.a) partial recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa. Immunogen: YY1 antibody was raised against yY1 (NP_003394, 221 a.a. ~ 321 a.a) partial recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa. In general, we may offer more than one antibody to a given target to enable options for the researcher. Available antibodies recognizing YY1 are readily searchable from our website. Different antibodies against the same target such as YY1 may be optimized or tested for different applications and species. This enables researchers to select the option that may be best for their model system, to screen more than antibody to determine which one may be best for their model system, as well as to use more than one antibody to follow up on and validate their results.
